Finally done with what is appearing to consistently be the hardest part of my week, the Tuesday to Thursday stretch. Every week, I think I should get stuff done early, and every week, I’m killing myself those few nights to get everything done. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get the hang of it soon. The good news is I now have 2 nights to catch up on sleep and relax.
- Well, maybe I spoke too soon about the Kenyan distance trials being in Eugene during the Pre Classic. It’s still a little up in there air (see this article as to that issue: http://www.oregonlive.com/trackandfield/index.ssf/2012/02/its_unclear_whether_the_kenyan.html) as legendary Kenyan runners (see this article: http://allafrica.com/stories/201202230744.html) bash the plan.
- Runner’s World has a good interview with Garrett Heath ahead of USA Indoors this weekend: http://news.runnersworld.com/2012/02/23/brief-chat-garrett-heath-at-usa-indoors/
- Going up to our northern neighbors, there’s a nice article here about the wealth of female hurdlers the Canadians are lucky to have: http://www.2012trials.ca/news.php?id=21
- Rupp and Lagat in the same race?! Wooo sign me up. The two best American distance runners at the moment will be dueling the 3,000 meters at USA Indoors this weekend: http://mobile.oregonlive.com/advorg/pm_100884/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=x0Z2tepp
- MPSF Championships are this weekend, and Chris Derrick is doing the mile? Alright, little change of pace for the big guy. Let’s see if or by how much he breaks 4 by. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/mpsf/sports/c-itrack/auto_pdf/2011-12/misc_non_event/itf-pre-champ2012.pdf
That’s all for me, lets see if I can stay awake in class now….
