Sorry I haven’t gotten links up yet, I’ve been at a CEE career fair today, and so I’ve been away from my laptop all afternoon. Don’t worry, I’ll get those up along with a brief preview of the weekend tonight. Sorry for the delay.

In Uncategorized on February 16, 2012 at 2:35 PMSo, as per usual, I’m sitting in Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Systems, which is not nearly as interesting as it sounds, and scanning my Twitter feed for some good articles to pass on to you guys. Its a gorgeous day outside, and I wish I was sitting on the Quad while writing this, but I guess that’ll have to wait till my run later.
- Here’s some news from north of the border. Athletics Illustrated did a nice, short interview with Taylor Milne, a noted Canadian miler who we saw at Millrose and the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. The full interview can be found here: http://athleticsillustrated.com/interviews/taylor-milne/
- Watch out, the Kapsabet Express is back online. Pamela Jelimo ran 1:59.10 at the meet in Lievin the other day, which is perhaps a sign she is returning to her dominant form of 2008. The full article is here: http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/sports/2012/02/15/jelimos-lievin-blast-inspires-fresh-hope/
- This is something I’d never thought I’d say, but wow, the NYC half-marathon is stacked. Meb, Ritz, Kara and Desiree Davila are all running the NYC half on March 18th. Guess they all wanted a tune-up before their all-important summer seasons. http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=resources/lifestyle_community/community&id=8546446
- A little closer to home, Abdi has decided to run the Shamrock Shuffle 8k in Chicago. Another kinda strange thing, but hey, when you’re an Olympian, you call the shots. http://www.runnerspace.com/news.php?news_id=23364-Abdirahman-Announced-For-Bank-Of-America-Shamrock-Shuffle-RRW&utm_source=RStwitterfeed&utm_medium=RStwitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+runnerspacerss+%28RunnerSpace+All+Content%29
- And finally, here are the entry lists for this weekend’s USA Indoor Track Championships. There are a few runners entered who haven’t qualified, and presumably we won’t be seeing them racing, but everyone else will be there. The list is here: http://www.usatf.org/events/2012/USAIndoorTFChampionships/entry/status.asp
Alrighty, that just about wraps it up for me now. Look for a new Professor of Old School tonight!
